I hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend. (I definitely did with an Eagles Superbowl win!! Fly Eagles Fly!! Sorry I got excited again…but we finally got one! YES!!!… ok, I’m done!😀)
We had great performances from our athletes this past Saturday, as well! Brendon Stewart ran for his life in the Millrose Games this weekend in the 55m and is now ranked #1 in the U.S. with a 6.34s! The 4×200 relay team (Brendon Stewart, Naim Muhammad, Deion Green, Damon Green), that also ran in the Millrose PR’d and broke the DeMatha school record with a 1.27.6s and came in a close 2nd! (Unfortunately, they cheated us out of watching it live on TV). The DeMatha team that performed at the Private School Invitational at Georgetown Prep took 3rd overall and beat out all other WCAC teams! I can’t name all performers but to name a few: Jaelyn Blanc PR’d in the triple jump and took 2nd with a 42′-11″ jump! Caleb Dean PR’d in both 55m hurdles with a 7.86s and took 2nd place, and high jump and came in 3rd! Nick Cross ran a 6.43s in the 55m for an obvious 1st place! There were many more wonderful performances that led to our overall success. Our athletes were awesome and are working to end this indoor season with great success!
