Kenny’s best events are all sprints from the 400m down. Last year as a 14 year old 8th grader, Kenny qualified and competed in the AAU Indoor Youth National Championship. Kenny has a late birth day which put him in the 15-16 year old class. Kenny qualified for the Finals in both the 60m and the 200m. Kenny place 1st in the 60m Final and placed 2nd in the 200m Final. In 2016, Kenny became the 1st DC Speed Athlete to qualify for USATF Outdoor Nationals in 4 individual events (100m, 200m, 400m and Javelin). He had never thrown a javelin before but wanted to try and compete in the maximum number of events and was successful. He loves to push himself to new heights and will always compete against whomever is lined up next to him. Kenny is one of the top, class of 2021, sprint athletes not just in DC Metropolitan Area but in the Country. Kenny has competed in Track and Field since the age of 7 and has qualified for AAU or USATF Nationals every year he has run track. Kenny was a Team Leader for the DC Speed Track Club by leading all drills, encouraging and mentoring our younger athletes coming up. Kenny loves the short sprints (55m, 100m and 200m) but has shown that he is more than capable of being exceptional at the 300m and 400m with times to qualify him for Nationals. Kenny has also run of several relay teams (4 x 100m, 4 x 200m, 4 x 400m and 4 x 800m) for his Youth Track Club and High School Track Team. Each year, Kenny’s times in all events have dropped and have never been stagnant. Kenny is ready to make the transition from being labeled as one of the best young sprinters in our Region to The Best Sprinter in our Region.
